Born in Lake Charles Louisiana, Bee graduated from LSU with a degree in Fine Arts. She moved to houston in 1966 and worked as a geological-geophysical draftsman for Cities Service Oil Company. After a respite to raise two boys, she co-founded Decorative Arts, Inc. in 1981. Besides hands-on experience and a passion for painted finishes, she studied at the Isabel O'Neil School in New York and The Day Studio in San Francisco. Bee has worked with decorators, designers, and architects as a color consultant creating outstanding, quality paint finishes throughout the life of the company.
